It is organised in the Nordic countries once to twice a year. This meeting will be the sixteenth in a row, and its focus will be on contact improvisation classes and jamming. You will find more information about NIM on www.kontaktimprovisation.se or e-mail - nimnorway06@hotmail.com The meeting will be held in the countryside at Vestoppland folkhighschool (Hadeland), 7 miles (approx. one hour bus drive) from Oslo. There are single and double rooms to sleep in, two dance spaces, an aikido room for warm-ups, and a sauna. Earthdance (an improvisational dance and workshop/retreat center in Western Massachusetts) is looking to hire an Associate Director. Job Responsibilities:
Together, the Director and Associate Director oversee and manage all aspects of Earthdance. The main areas of oversight include event programming, fundraising and grant-writing, publicity and outreach, oversight of the physical facilities, staff oversight and development and reporting to the board of directors. Candidates should be highly self-motivated, creative, and detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills. Must be able to develop and oversee projects, work with and oversee other staff members, structure time to handle multiple tasks within a given time frame, multi-task, and make strategic decisions. We are looking for someone who can take leadership, enjoys the creative challenge of devising a system and implementing it, and would relish the opportunity to grow with a community arts organization. We also greatly value someone who has a personal dance, movement, or other creative practice. Comfortability and skill working in a Microsoft windows computer environment is desired.
